This issue has been playing out in my head for so long. I sometimes wonder how the mainstream music industry makes any money at all. I do not know ANYONE that actually goes to the store and buys CD's. The 1000 "true fans" concept solves this conundrum . We live in a new age, where monopolies are not viable;this is a good thing. Television is a dying giant. I hope that someday I will wake up and people will listen to music because it makes them feel good, and not because it is shrouded in an illusion of greatness. Thanks for the insight.
