Kiva’s Addictive Cycle: Invest, Repaid, Reinvest

On July 22, I got an email from Kiva saying, "...your loan to Karimbayli Mammadov

has been fully repaid...."

Who is Karimbayli? He's the 50 year old welder from Azerbaijan that I loaned money to about a year ago (see this post and this post). You can check out his business page on Kiva here.

  • So awesome. My wife and I were just talking last night about how to make giving decisions together. This is a rad thing to look into, thanks. I was only familiar w/ http://www.prosper.com/ along these lines.

  • This is really inspirational. This is like a small scaled-down version of the Nobel Prize Winner who offered small micro loans to villages to start small brick and mortar business that resulted in better future for the kids of the businessmen. It helped them by being able to send their kids for school and thus ending the vicious cycle.
  • Joumana has been a micro-credit client of Al Majmoua for the past 4 years. She has always repaid her debts on time.
  • Joumana's enthusiasm and willpower allowed her to defy the community as she opened a shop to sell painting materials...............
