Evolution of My Personal Music Discovery

Its fascinating to reflect on how my music taste has changed over the years. Bands and artists I've liked. And, singles I've played over and over. Some stuff I've continued to like since I was little kid, like #1 below, and some artists I've discontinued to listen to, like the artist in #7 below.

  • Check out http://www.ijigg.com/ -- community where independent artists post their tracks for iJigg users to rate them. Top rated tracks appear on the front page. Users can easily play tracks, share them with friends, embed tracks elsewhere (i.e. Myspace), create playlists and in many cases download them...there's a lot of music discovery sites out there. I found Delon , one of my favorite emerging rap artists through a music search engine. May your passion for music continue to catch fire.

  • Here's a new hobby for ya: start backmasking music made by The Beatles, Jay-Z, 3-6 (which means 666-mark of the beast) Mafia, Rolling Stones, the Eagles, Backstreet Boys, Marilyn Manson, Brittany Spears, etc. You'll be surprised, but listen closely!
  • This is such a great article. Music is very useful, especially in indoors when you are bored. Or when you are moving from one place to another, you may play a music in music player.
